Chandrani Chakraborty

Chandrani Chakraborty is currently the Group Head of Capability and Learning in QBE as well as the Head of HR for Asia. She joined QBE in 2018 as Head of HR for Asia Pacific, with nearly two decades of experience within the financial services sector. A seasoned HR executive who began her career as a management trainee, she covered many aspects of the Human Resource Officer portfolio including HR leadership, advisory, talent management and learning, strategic thinking/planning and change management.

She is passionate about areas around reskilling and upskilling for the future, an agenda which she is currently playing a lead role in QBE. Culture, Diversity and Inclusion are the other areas which Chandrani plays an active role in and works closely with the leaders in her business and the CEOs in QBE Asia to drive the agenda for change. She was also the Chair of QBE Asia Foundation for 3 years during which she led the COVID-19 relief investments in 2020/2021. She continues to be an active member of the Foundation.

Earlier in her career, Chandrani worked for global banking corporations known for their HR best practices, such as Citibank where she was the Regional HR Lead for APAC Consumer Banking, and ANZ Bank where she was the Global Head of HR for Global Transaction Banking. She has since worked across many geographies in Asia with working stints in Mumbai, Korea and Singapore.

Chandrani holds a Masters in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations.
