Condon Claims Management, a subsidiary of the Thomas Miller Group, has acquired Marine Claims Associates LLC, a US-based marine claims firm.

The deal, which took effect on July 1, 2025, is part of a broader strategy to increase the company’s presence and service capabilities across the US.

The acquisition follows a recent rebranding initiative in which Thomas Miller’s US-focused claims services were consolidated under the Condon Claims Management name. The change is intended to streamline operations and offer clients a single point of access to services in the maritime, logistics, energy and construction sectors.

Marine Claims Associates has experience in handling Protection and Indemnity (P&I) claims, which is expected to support Condon’s expansion along the Eastern Seaboard.

“Having the knowledge and experience to broaden our services is essential in today’s modern marine landscape. From conducting site investigations and gathering key witness statements to assessing the cause of issues and recommending appropriate actions, it is critical that we deliver the very best support to both maritime companies and seafarers during challenging times,” said Steve Condon, CEO of Condon Claims Management.

“By bringing the talented team from Marine Claims Associates into our fold, we are enhancing our presence in the United States and expanding our quality services into new and important service areas. I look forward to working with the entire team,” he added.

The Marine Claims Associates team will now operate under the Condon Claims Management brand. Their office in New Bedford, Massachusetts, will strengthen the firm’s position in the Northeastern US, following the recent opening of an additional site in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

Condon Claims Management currently has offices in New Bedford and Fairhaven, Massachusetts; Miami, Florida; Houston, Texas; and Mandeville and Lafayette, Louisiana. The company has indicated that the acquisition supports its efforts to expand service coverage and operational capacity across the US market.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
