Smart Choice reported strong growth in 2024, driven by more than $140 million in acquisition from 15 separate deals.
In June last year, the company said it had completed more than $100 million in acquisitions across 15 separate deals.
In addition to the acquisitions, the company experienced significant organic growth, with 1,450 new agencies joining the network last year. This marks the eighth consecutive year that Smart Choice has added over 1,000 new agencies annually, positioning the company as the fastest-growing agency network in the country.
“We are excited about our explosive growth last year and expect to continue this trajectory in 2025,” said Andrew Caldwell, president of Smart Choice.
Caldwell also said the company is expanding its support for the agencies in its network, adding 12 national carrier partnerships to support its partnered agencies in 2024.
Last year, Brandon Flinchum joined Smart Choice as chief financial officer. Flinchum had about 20 years of experience at Forvis Mazars, taking on various roles including managing director in the company’s Triad assurance practice. Caldwell said during the announcement of his appointment that Flinchum was familiar with Smart Choice’s model because he was part of the team that edited the network’s financials in prior years.
The Smart Choice Agents Program is a wholly owned program of Worldwide Insurance Network, which is based in High Point, North Carolina. They currently serve over 10,000 agency partners in 48 states.
