After sustaining an injury while enlisted in the army, Richard Talbot-Jones spent seven years working for various UK brokers before branching out and launching his own brokerage with his wife, in February of 2016, which specialises in charity, professional indemnity and small business insurance. Despite the hectic nature of starting a business, Talbot-Jones remains heavily involved in various trade and community organisations, including serving as vice president and a former president of the Insurance Institute of Newcastle upon Tyne, director at the North East Initiative on Business Ethics and serving as a member of the advisory council at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience at Durham University.
Additionally, he recently completed his CII and was selected by the CII and a non-profit to share his story about his transition from military service to the business world. He is also a Chartered Insurance Broker.
