Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Karen Green (pictured above left) and David Priebe (pictured above right) to its board of directors, effective May 15.
The company also announced that Bill Freda will retire from the board on the same date, ending more than a decade of service. Freda joined Hamilton’s board in June 2014 and served as chair from August 2017 until May 2023.
Green currently serves as the senior independent director at Phoenix Group Holdings PLC and holds non-executive roles at Admiral Insurance Group PLC and Great Portland Estates PLC, where she is set to become senior independent director on April 4, 2025.
Her other board positions include non-executive roles with Miller Insurance Services LLP, Ben Nevis CleanCo Ltd, Tucano Holdings Jersey Ltd (TMF Group), and advisory work with Cytora Ltd. Green previously held executive roles at Aspen Insurance Holdings, including chief executive of Aspen UK and group head of strategy and corporate development.
Earlier in her career, she worked at MMC Capital Inc, GE Capital, Baring Brothers, and Schroders. She has also served as a trustee of Wellbeing of Women and vice president of the Insurance Institute of London.
Priebe retired from Guy Carpenter & Company in January after a more than 40-year career. He most recently served as chair, with responsibilities focused on market engagement and client strategy.
He also led GC Securities, the firm’s investment banking and capital markets group, and GC Capital Solutions. Before becoming chair, Priebe held roles including vice chair, executive vice president, and president of the UK and Continental Europe operations, as well as managing director of various global practice groups.

Earlier this month, the company also reported a net income of US$81 million for the first quarter ending March 31, as gross premiums written rose 16.8% year-over-year to US$843.3 million.
