Oceanview Secure Reinsurance Ltd, a subsidiary of Oceanview Holdings Ltd, announced that Brian W. Nocco has joined its board of directors. The appointment received approval from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority on Oct. 29.
Nocco brings extensive experience in corporate finance and risk management, having held key roles across major financial and insurance organizations. From 2010 to 2019, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he oversaw global finance operations.
Before joining McKinsey, he served as chief financial officer at XL Capital Ltd., managing financial strategies and global operations. Nocco also held leadership positions, including chief risk officer at Nationwide Insurance Group, and roles at Imperial Bank, The Chubb Corporation, and Continental Bank Corporation.
William Egan, CEO and chairman of Oceanview Holdings, highlighted Nocco’s background in financial management and risk oversight, describing it as a critical asset for the company’s strategic direction.
"Brian’s extensive background and proven leadership in financial management and risk oversight make him an invaluable addition to our board," Egan said. "His deep understanding of global finance operations and strategic risk management will be instrumental as we accelerate our growth in reinsurance and deliver innovative solutions to our global clients."
The company said that the addition of Nocco to the board reflects Oceanview Secure Reinsurance’s ongoing focus on expanding its global footprint and enhancing operational strategies to support its growth in the reinsurance market.
Last month, the company also announced the promotion of Stelian Dragan to the position of president and chief executive officer of its Bermuda operations.
In his new role, Dragan will oversee Oceanview Re’s operations, focusing on expanding reinsurance solutions and enhancing the company’s position in the industry. Dragan joined the company as president and chief business development officer in April 2022.
