Former PartnerRe head to bolster global advisory board

Reinsurance

AI specialist insurtech Cytora has bolstered the expertise of its advisory board with the addition of Emmanuel Clarke, former president and CEO of PartnerRe.

Clarke brings experience from his tenure in leadership positions within property and casualty (P&C) insurance, specialty lines, and the global reinsurance market. Clarke also contributes his expertise as a board member for several organizations, including Intact Financial Corporation, BMS, Compre, Wakam, and Tremor Technologies. He is also currently a senior advisor for McKinsey & Company.

The advisory board at Cytora is now comprised of figures from the commercial and specialty insurance sectors, including:

  • Bronek Masojada, chair of SiriusPoint and former CEO of Hiscox
  • Kelly Lyles, a board member at Convex and Howden Group
  • Jeffrey Hayman, chair of R&Q Insurance Holdings and former board member of Zurich Insurance Group
  • John Bruno, president of Xerox and former executive at Aon, among others

“I look forward to working with the Cytora team to maximize its impact across the re/insurance industry, and accelerating a future where insurance companies can materially uplift the volume of risks they can write, at higher decision quality and at a fraction of current cost by leveraging Cytora’s approach to AI and data,” Clarke said.

Richard Hartley, CEO of Cytora, also welcomed Clarke, emphasizing the critical role of artificial intelligence in transforming the insurance industry.

The transformative opportunity presented by artificial intelligence is a top board level priority and it is a difficult area for insurance companies to navigate to achieve defining and enduring success. Emmanuel will benefit our team, partners and clients with his deep expertise across the insurance value chain,” Hartley said.
