Coherent Capital Advisors (CCA) has appointed former
Manulife Asia executive John Brisco as its chief executive officer. He is based in Hong Kong.
Alongside his role as CEO, Brisco will join co-founders Michael Chan and Fred Ngan on the Coherent Group management team.
Before being hired by CCA, Brisco was chief information officer and chief operations officer of Manulife Asia, where he made significant contributions to the Canadian insurer’s growth in Asia. He has also worked for
QBE Insurance and
EY previously.
CCA, which was founded in 2013, is a technology, data, and advisory business with a team composed of insurance and technology experts. The firm provides a wide range of services to improve the business of leading insurers across Asia.
CCA is part of Hong Kong-based Coherent Group, a collection of insurtech start-ups which seeks to make insurance simple for insurers, intermediaries, and customers.
