There will doubtless be an array of industry comment on Brexit throughout the day - however, the first major European insurer to release comment has been
Zurich Insurance.
Speaking to
Reuters, the Swiss insurer has outlined that UK “remains a key market” and it has reiterated its commitment to communities, distributors and employees across the region.
In its reaction, the insurer has declared that “we’re not going anywhere” and has suggested that the markets will normalise over time.
In addition, it has stated that the process of the UK leaving the European Union is likely to take many years – and therefore it is too soon to judge how it will affect business. However, it has set up a team to follow the process closely and will provide information to employees and customers as the situation evolves.
We’ll bring you more industry reaction throughout the day.
