The reinsurance arm of brokerage giant Willis Towers Watson has appointed Printhan Sothinathan as head of its specialty analytics unit.
Sothinathan will begin his role as managing director and head of Willis Re Specialty Analytics in January 2017. He will report to Graeme Moore, CEO of Willis Re Global Specialty.
In his new post, Sothinathan will lead the expansion and development of the Willis Re Specialty Analytics service offering to clients.
Commenting on his appointment, Sothinathan noted that Willis Re has grown its market share and intellectual capital over the past two years.
“I am excited to be joining Willis Re Specialty at a time where the team are actively enhancing their service capability in the face of a rapidly changing market place to better serve their clients,” he said.
Sothinathan will join Willis Re from the Navigators Group where he was managing director for Continental Europe. He gained 20 years of re/insurance industry experience from multi-sized companies across the UK, European and US markets.
