UK insurer LV= bagged the “
Which? Insurance Provider of the Year Award” for 2017, joining the ranks of 10 other super brands that were recognised by the independent body.
Peter Vicary-Smith, Which? chief executive, said in a web posting to announce this year’s winners: “Consumers should be at the heart of every business. Brands that deliver excellent products and services for their customers deserve to be recognised and rewarded. The Which? Awards winners list honours the commitment of those businesses that strive to meet the expectations of consumers and go above and beyond to respond to their needs.”
The awards are completely independent. A company can’t nominate itself and the shortlist is chosen by experts using Which? research, testing, endorsements (such as Best Buy and Recommended Provider status) and feedback from Which? members and the general public throughout the year.
The only individual to garner recognition from the body was Sharon White, chief executive of Ofcom, who was the recipient of the ‘Which? Positive Change Award’.
“This special award was presented in recognition of the significant progress the regulator has made over the past two years in putting consumers at the heart of its agenda, working to improve products and services across the telecoms industry,” a statement from Which? said.
