Voyager Insurance Services has relaunched the latest version of its travel insurance product which is now underwritten by a new, 'A+' rated insurer.
The company said Voyager Travel Insurance will be available through brokers and intermediaries on its WEBroker platform, used by approximately 1,000 brokers and intermediaries.
Since March 1, the product has been underwritten by the Sirius International Insurance Corporation’s UK branch.
“The support of this A+ rated global insurer gives us the confidence to continue to innovate and grow distribution of our leading travel insurance product for brokers and intermediaries,” said Voyager Director Carl Carter.
Carter said additional options on the product, such as the gadget cover and the “Holiday From Hell Insurance,” have helped increase the sales of Voyager Travel Insurance by over 15% compared to sales during the previous year.
“By keeping Voyager Travel Insurance relevant to customers and meeting their needs we are helping brokers to compete against the big name direct travel insurance brands and comparison sites, in markets where quality and choice of cover is the key driver over just price,” Carter said.
Carter said the company continues to recruit many new brokers and intermediaries who are switching from other travel insurance providers.
“We've also secured some major UK brands who like the product's flexibility, including features such as being available to both UK and EEA residents and cover being available to those customers who have already travelled,” he said.
