Major insurance firm Swinton Group is set to relocate 1,000 employees to its new headquarters in Salford, Greater Manchester.
The company is moving its Manchester headquarters to 101 Embankment, which will also house Swinton’s modern customer contact centre.
Manchester Evening News reported that Swinton will occupy 10 floors of the building, which is being built on the site of the Manchester Exchange station at Greengate. The project is expected to be completed this month.
Swinton is relocating employees from existing offices on Whitworth Street and Great Marlborough Street, according to the report. The move is part of a wider investment strategy that includes modernising the company’s high street branch network.
“Bringing all of our Manchester-based support teams and contact centre colleagues together under one roof will allow for much greater flexibility to deliver great customer service,” Swinton chief executive Gilles Normand was quoted as saying by the
Manchester Evening News.
“The move to a new site is a milestone in our drive towards a bold and modern Swinton by re-shaping the way that we work,” Normand added.
Normand said building a sustainable, multi-channel business model “makes things easier for our customers and delivers excellent service.”
