At least one insurance company will set up an office in one of the newest skyscrapers in London that is expected to be completed next year.
The building, known as Scalpel, which is located at 52 Lime Street, has just signed up its first tenant and will be finished by December 2017,
City AM reported.
According to the report, insurance broker and emerging market risk specialist BPL Global will occupy 12,089 sq ft on the building’s 12th floor.
“The signing of the first tenancy agreement for The Scalpel marks a significant milestone in the development process," Andrew Reynolds told
City AM. He is the managing director of WRBC Development, the company behind the new tower.
WRBC is a major commercial lines property and casualty insurer in the US. It has insurance operations based in London, which will also occupy spaces at Scalpel.
