Major insurer RSA has appointed long-time Zurich executive Neil Strickland as director of its global consulting team, which provides risk management and engineering solutions.
 
Based in London, Strickland will be responsible for leading and developing RSA’s global consulting business. He will report to Hayley Robinson, global risk solutions managing director.
 
“The deep technical and industry expertise we have within global consulting is paramount to understanding our customers’ businesses,” Strickland said. “I’m looking forward to building on this to provide enhanced value to our customers, brokers and underwriters, while further supporting our customers across the broad spectrum of risk.”

Strickland has been in the industry for three decades, including 13 years at Zurich Insurance in London where he held senior global customer and account management roles. Most recently, he the firm’s customer relationship management proposition for large corporate customers in the UK, spanning products and services across general insurance, life and pensions.
 
Earlier in his career, Strickland also held underwriting and relationship management positions within AIG Europe (UK) in London.
 
Working alongside Strickland is Martin Turner, who has been appointed as deputy director of RSA’s global consulting team after previously serving as risk-managed operations manager. He will continue to lead a team of risk engineering professionals to deliver bespoke solutions to customers.
 
“Global Consulting is going from strength to strength as we develop our technical tools and our expertise by growing and attracting top engineering and risk management talent,” Turner said.
