There is a new CEO of insurance at Prudential UK and Europe, with Clare Bousfield taking the leading role.
Bousfield will take the role from November 01, subject to regulatory approval, having left her role as chief financial officer at Aegon in August (as we reported
here).
In a release announcing the move, Bousfield was touted for her strong reputation for leading and developing high performing teams, noting that she was also a former chief financial officer at
Swiss Re.
“Securing someone of Clare’s calibre, with such relevant and extensive experience, was crucial for this important leadership role. I look forward to working with Clare to drive our insurance business forward,” said John Foley, chief executive of Prudential UK and Europe,
“I am delighted to be joining Prudential at this exciting time in the company’s development and look forward to the opportunity to build still further this successful UK business that has such a strong heritage and well-recognised brand,” added Bousfield.
