PIB Insurance Brokers has opened its new office in Leeds as part of its expansion plans, stepping up its status as one of the fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK.
Lexcel qualified consultant Michael Eardley will head the new Leeds office and assume the role of director, professional risks.
Eardley has been specialising in professional indemnity insurance and risk management for law firms since 1999. He has also worked for
Aon, Prime Professions and Willis.
“The work we are doing in the professional indemnity insurance arena is breaking new ground and we are attracting some of the industry’s best talent to PIB from the broader world of insurance services,” Eardley said.
Joining PIB Leeds as a senior account executive is Gareth Milner, who has been focused on solicitors’ professional indemnity insurance for the past seven years.
Similar to his previous role at
JLT, Milner will support firms with one to three partners at PIB and grow the offering for the larger practices.
Also joining the Leeds office as account executive is James Barker, who specializes in the insurance needs of law firms that goes beyond professional indemnity insurance, such as cyber liability. He has specialized in solicitors’ professional indemnity insurance for the last 2 years.
“This new Leeds team will continue to build on the strong work we are doing for our clients across the UK and help us scale to the next level,” Eardley said.
