Specialist Lloyd’s insurer Novae has lured three new executives from rival firms to beef up its current cyber team.
The company has appointed Jo Chadha as deputy unit head, Michael Shen as head of cyber innovation and Sharif Gardner as head of training.
The new recruits will be based in London and will report to Dan Trueman, head of cyber at Novae.
In her new role, Chadha will assist Trueman in underwriting and managing the cyber portfolio while Shen will drive innovation and product development.
“Cyber is a rapidly growing class of business and one in which we have a market leading approach and strong track record,” said chief underwriting officer Rob Foster, commenting on the latest hires.
“Jo, Michael and Sharif’s appointments are excellent additions to the team,” he added.
Chadha joins from
Beazley where she spent 13 years underwriting a portfolio of North American and international professional liability, technology and cyber risks. She also previously worked at
Howden Insurance Brokers.
Shen held roles at Catlin,
CNA Europe, HCCI and
Liberty Specialty Markets, where he most recently served as senior underwriter on the strategic assets team. In that role, he led and designed cyber programs for many Fortune 100 companies across multiple industry sectors.
Gardner was previously head of training for cyber at Protection Group International where he was responsible for the UK’s largest information and cyber security academy.
