Northern Ireland’s largest locally-owned insurance broker is setting up a new office that will lead to the creation of several new jobs.
Abbey Insurance Brokers has announced plans to open a new branch in Enniskillen, a move that will generate at least 10 jobs, according to the
Impartial Reporter.
The brokerage firm has secured premises on 11 Townhall Street and has already begun renovation work, the report said.
“We are extremely pleased to be bringing the Abbey Insurance branch network to Enniskillen,” the
Impartial Reporter quoted Abbey Insurance Brokers CEO Trevor Shaw as saying.
“Creating a branch in Enniskillen means that local customers can drop in and talk to us at any time,” he added.
Shaw said the new jobs that will be opened at the Enniskillen office include the branch manager post and several sales advisor roles.
“This is in line with our vision to continue reinvesting in Northern Ireland’s economy and expanding the Abbey Insurance branch network,” Shaw told the Impartial Reporter.
Abbey Insurance has 23 branches in the province and employs more than 400 people.
A family-owned business, the firm was started in 1973 in Newtownabbey by founder George Storey.
It offers home, travel and young drivers’ insurance and covers private cars, taxis, vans and motorbikes.
