Leading insurer Markerstudy will merge two of its businesses to form a new five-star commercial insurance brand set for launch in November.
The company has announced that its latest venture named “District Business Insurance” will absorb two brands from its retail division, Insurance Factory and Insurance Choice.
Based in the midlands, Direct Business Insurance will be a specialist provider of commercial insurance with a wider range of products under one roof. It will broker any type of commercial insurance, from aviation to nightclub cover.
“We aim to be innovators in our field, constantly looking for solutions to help our business customers, and this expansion of our commercial portfolio is great news for them, whether large or small,” said Ross Barrington, divisional head of retail.
To complement the new insurance offering, Markerstudy said its specialist commercial team will promote a customer-centric approach to all business opportunities.
“It’s all about understanding different needs, building long lasting relationships and always striving to go the extra mile,” Barrington added.
The new insurance brand will be launched several months after Markerstudy restructured its retail division into four distinct units: Insurance Factory, Insurance Shop, BDML Connect and Lancaster.
The restructure followed the resignation of Russell Bence as retail division managing director, a position he held for seven years.
