The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has announced the result of is latest board election, which will see the incumbent chairman continue his term.
 
Five industry leaders who will serve a term of three years have been elected to the board, the LMA said.
 
Effective from May 17, the five board members will be Beazley chief underwriting officer Neil Maidment, Catlin Underwriting Agencies CEO Paul Jardine, Brit Syndicates CEO Matthew Wilson, MS Amlin Underwriting CEO Tom Clementi, and Asta Managing Agency CEO Julian Tighe.

Maidment will remain as chairman of the trade body.
 
“The high standard of leading market figures putting themselves forward has enabled us to assemble an impressive Board, whose combined knowledge and experience is an invaluable asset to the LMA,” said David Gittings, the industry body’s chief executive.
 
Gittings said the LMA board is “highly influential” in the Lloyd’s market, offering a broad range of expertise and representing over £17 billion or 60% of the overall market capacity.
