Kingfisher Insurance, a specialist insurance broker, has unveiled Kingfisher Risk Solutions, a new consultancy arm dedicated to tailor-made workplace safety services.

The new service begins with an ‘Essential’ package, where Kingfisher acts as the designated ‘competent person’ and comes with an annual site visit.

From there, clients can customise with options that include fire risk assessments, multiple site visits, and support during Health and Safety Executive investigations, among other features.

The consultancy is accessible to all businesses, irrespective of their current insurance provider.

Gemma Horton (pictured), who holds an MSc in Health and Safety Risk Management and has more than 18 years of experience in supporting high-risk sectors, will head Kingfisher Risk Solutions.

“I am excited to join Kingfisher during this growth period,” the risk management lead commented. “Our aim is to help the businesses we work with to achieve safety and regulatory compliance.

“We focus on positively impacting leadership and employee behaviour, making health and safety an integral part of the workplace. Through Kingfisher’s specialist industry understanding, we help clients mitigate risks, allowing them to operate successfully and thrive.”

Pauline Brookes, head of corporate risks at Kingfisher, added: “We are delighted to welcome Gemma to lead this significant new service. Our consultancy service is designed to moderate risks across all businesses, from SMEs to larger companies.

“We will provide a trusted and cost-effective service that positively impacts our overall risk profile, leading to enhanced relationships with insurers and clients, ultimately benefiting everyone.”
