Trak Global Group has signed a deal to integrate with the telematics hub of insurance software house CDL.

The companies’ new partnership will enable insurance retailers using the CDL Strata solution to offer telematics-based insurance products powered by Trak Global.

“This approach is giving insurance retailers a competitive edge in today’s marketplace, increasing their options when it comes to product design,” said Nigel Phillips, commercial director of CDL.

Integration with the CDL hub means that the sale and administration of telematics policies can be easily switched on.

Customers’ premiums can also be adjusted automatically based on information received from telematics devices such as black boxes or smartphone apps

“CDL has a successful track record in telematics, and we are delighted to be working with the company at a time when take-up of telematics based insurance is on the rise,” said Peter Finch, Trak Global Group information chief.

A global provider of insurance telematics services, Trak Global Group helps retailers reduce claims and improve the customer experience.

Similarly, CDL provides telematics solutions for a range of major brands such as The Co-operative.
