Bluefin Underwriting has appointed Ian Coughlan to head of finance in another addition to their senior team.
Coughlan has been a special consultant at Bluefin Underwriting for the last eight months. He has six years’ experience as a finance director across Jardine Lloyd Thompson UK and
Thistle Insurance.
Coughlan said Bluefin has the opportunity to be a leader in its chosen markets.
“Having worked with Paul Drake and the Bluefin Underwriting team in recent months, I am excited at the prospect of continuing to help build what is already an interesting business, on a permanent basis,” he said.
Head of Bluefin Underwriting Paul Drake said Coughlan will support the company’s plans to become the ‘go to’ specialist insurer for key broker and distribution partners.
The appointment comes after
Bluefin announced several other new faces to its management earlier in May, with Neil Forsyth promoted to London Market broking director and Steve Hook to managing director for personal lines. In October 2015, Bluefin announced a restructure and the merging of its commercial and corporate divisions into a single broking division.
