Insurer Westfield Health has put its current office building up for sale as it aims to relocate to a new headquarters later this year.

The health insurer is selling its building located at 87 Division Street, which has been its head office since 1973. The company plans to move to the former Milton House on Charter Row.

Westfield Health executive director Julie Gill said their current headquarters would require “substantial investment and development” to meet the company’s needs.

“After carefully weighing up the options, we’ve concluded it’s more practical and cost effective to move to a larger home. Our new building will be more energy efficient and have improved facilities for our customers and employees,” she said.

“Our commitment to the future of our home city is very much reflected in our plans to regenerate a prominent city centre building and the boost it will provide for the emerging, new look Sheffield city centre,” Gill added.

The insurer said the construction of its new headquarters will soon be completed. It will include an improved customer service function for policyholders.

“This move is an important milestone as we continue to grow and also branch out into emerging markets in health, wellbeing and care. It really is a new era for Westfield Health,” Gill said.

Peter Whiteley, Partner of Knight Frank LLP has been instructed to sell Westfield Health’s current head office and two adjoining buildings.
