Bermuda-based Hamilton Insurance Group has opened its new offices in London to support its growth in the Lloyd’s market.
Group chairman and CEO Brian Duperreault and Hamilton at Lloyd’s CEO Dermot O’Donohoe officially opened their new offices inside the
Aviva Building on 1 Undershaft.
Duperreault said Hamilton will be able to meet all of its key objectives now that its new offices are operational, which followed recent deals with two major players.
“I am delighted to say that with our new office here at Lloyd’s and the joint venture we announced last week with
AIG and Two Sigma, Hamilton will be delivering on all fronts,” he said.
“I congratulate Dermot and his team for the impressive progress they’ve made in building a diversified platform at Lloyd’s in such a short space of time. Their new offices are a fitting testament to all they’ve achieved,” Duperreault added.
Hamilton opened its new offices a year after the company acquired a managing agency that has been renamed Hamilton Underwriting Limited and Lloyd’s Syndicate 3334.
Following that move, O’Donohoe has been recruiting a highly regarded group of insurance professionals while expanding his executive management team that includes chief financial officer Simon Barrett and Chief Actuary and chief risk officer Alex Baker.
“I am most grateful for the hard work of everyone at Hamilton at Lloyd’s. Our 45 employees coordinated multiple work streams in offices designed to accommodate a handful of staff,” O’Donohoe said.
