Chubb has appointed two new senior management executives in the UK and Ireland as the insurer changes its structure to serve the future needs of brokers and clients.
The company has named Sara Mitchell (pictured) as head of corporate division for UK and Ireland, a new role that will see her take charge of Chubb’s middle market segment strategy, sales, distribution, underwriting centres and product development. She will also join two other leaders supervising the company’s core retail property and casualty customer segments.
Mitchell and Roberts will continue to be based in London, reporting to David Robinson, division president for Chubb in the UK and Ireland.
Robinson praised Mitchell for her “stellar track record” of managing a growing international business while he called Roberts a “widely known and respected” market figure.
Mitchell, who has been in the industry for 15 years, is currently the vice president for speciality personal lines for Europe, Eurasia, Africa and Asia Pacific. Since joining Chubb in 2011, she has managed the company’s fast-growing international mobile device protection business.
Roberts, who is currently the casualty manager for UK and Ireland, has more than 20 years of industry experience. After joining Chubb in 1999 as multinational casualty underwriter, he has held several senior casualty underwriting and management roles.
