Specialist insurance and reinsurance broker BMS Group appointed James Gordon as managing director of its cyber and technology division. The hiring will be effective after he serves his current notice period.
Gordon is the outgoing vice-president for the global technology and privacy practice at Lockton. He has handled various technology, media, and network security related business for financial institutions. With 13 years’ experience in the insurance industry, he has worked for Jardine Lloyd Thomson and HSBC.
Ian Gormley, managing director for BMS Risk Solutions, said of Gordon’s appointment, “His track record in business development and market reputation for supplying cyber and technology expertise will be instrumental as we grow our presence in this sector.”
Meanwhile, Gordon said, “I’m very pleased to be joining BMS to lead the Cyber and Technology Division. This is an exciting time in the market as demand for cyber and technology expertise continues to exceed supply.”
