Bluefin Underwriting has appointed Colin West as Broker Development Manager responsible for covering the North West and Central England regions, and will oversee broker management and development in the region.
Previously West worked as a broker development manager for MGA Commercial Express and
Allianz Engineering, and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. West said he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join Bluefin Underwriting.
“With the feedback I receive from brokers, and mixed with the numerous abilities to trade; including underwriter access, strong products and commissions, the future for Bluefin Underwriting is very exciting,” he said.
Paul Drake, head of Bluefin Underwriting, welcomed West to the new role.
“Colin’s passion is establishing meaningful relationships and working closely with brokers so that both parties enjoy a mutually beneficial outcome,” said Drake. “He is well known and respected by brokers in the North West, and we anticipate this local experience will facilitate big growth for us in the region.”
Other recent appointments at Bluefin Underwriting include Ian Coughlan appointed to head of finance, and Jodie Gibbons to broker development executive for Wales and the South West.
