The UK retail arm of
Barbican Insurance Group has appointed insurance market veteran Alexandra Roberts as a development underwriter.
In her new role at Barbican Protect, Roberts will be reporting to Denise
Mercer, underwriting manager for financial lines.
Mercer said Roberts brings 16 years of experience across the UK insurance market and boasts a proven track record in professional indemnity and commercial insurance.
Roberts also has a strong reputation for ensuring high quality customer care, Mercer added.
“I am delighted to welcome Alexandra into the Barbican Protect team,” she said.
“We are committed to attracting talented individuals to our ranks as we continue to expand our activities across the UK.”
Roberts joins Barbican Protect from
Towergate Professional Indemnity where she served as senior account handler, working across a broad spectrum of professional sectors.
She also worked as commercial account handler at Richard Thacker & Co Ltd focusing on all areas of commercial insurance.
Roberts began her insurance career in 2000 at Co-operative Insurance where she was responsible for underwriting liability, commercial combined and property owners classes of business.
