Aviva will remain as the main sponsor of Norwich City football club for another year, the major insurer has announced.
With the newly extended sponsorship, the Aviva Community Fund logo will be displayed on the shirts of Norwich City players for the 2016/17 season.
The insurer will also continue supporting various activities throughout Norfolk since it has also extended its three-year community partnership with the Canaries.
“The Aviva Community Fund helped over 400 local community groups across the UK last year, and it will be bigger and better this year with the help of the Norwich City sponsorship,” said Aviva customer marketing director Lindsay Forster.
“The partnership has been a fantastic experience for us, our customers and our employees and we’re really glad to be able to extend it through our continued work in the community,” she added.
Steve Stone, Norwich City’s interim chief executive, noted that Aviva will be their main club sponsor for a record ninth year.
Stone said the sponsorship helps the football club “profile the work of the Aviva Community Fund, which has supported hundreds of good causes.”
“Having concluded an extensive period of negotiations regarding the sponsorship, it became clear that this was the best fit for the Football Club,” he said.
“It provides continuity with a brand well-known both locally and in the global market place, as well as one that shares our community-minded objectives.”
