Gallagher has been on something of an international acquisition spree of late. Over the last few weeks, our sister site Insurance Business America has reported on numerous state-side deals – including one today for an insurance broker that offers employee benefits (see
article) and now it has brought its chequebook to this side of the Atlantic.
It was revealed earlier today that the brokerage has swooped for UK consultancy Total Rewards Group.
According to a report at StreetInsider.com, a deal has been made for the Kent-based firm which provides remuneration support and corporate training for reward professionals throughout the world. Managing director Mark Childs is expected to stay, along with his team, while working under Leslie Lemenager, the head of international employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations at AJG.
“Total Reward Group’s expertise in compensation consulting and global mobility will deepen our international benefit capabilities, enhancing our ability to deliver broad solutions to current and future clients in the UK and around the world,” commented J Patrick Gallagher Junior, the chairman, president and CEO of Arthur J Gallagher.
The report states that the company will continue to offer its services as it does currently. Terms of the deal were not revealed.
