European insurer ARAG has announced a senior management appointment for its legal insurance firm in Great Britain.
ARAG UK has appointed Chris Millward as head of claims, replacing Paul Upton who will still work with the company on some important projects.
Millward took up his new role on June 1 following an extensive recruitment process. He joined ARAG in 2007 when he already had several years of experience in legal expenses insurance.
ARAG managing director Tony Buss described Millward as an “outstanding candidate” for a critical role in the business.
“I’m very excited to step up into this important position and appreciate the faith Tony and the ARAG management board have placed in me,” Millward said.
He said he learned from Upton, who led ARAG’s claims function since the company’s launch in the UK in 2006.
“I’m now looking forward to building on the fantastic reputation he has established for our claims service,” Millward added.
