Alexandra Paton has been something of a trailblazer for women in the insurance industry, having founded the MGA Equinox Global and having held key roles at major firms such as
AIG and Atradius – and now she is surging ahead on her career path once again.
It was announced earlier today that Paton will take the role of head of continental Europe for global financial risks at
Liberty Specialty Markets, part of
Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

Based in both Paris and London, she is expected to report directly to the firm’s head of global financial risks Peter Sprent, and replaces Alex Egnell, who has transferred across to the firm’s operations in North America.
“We are extremely excited to have someone with Alexandra’s unique experience and background joining our GFR team,” commented Sprent.
“As our clients expand their businesses through international trade and foreign investment, they are looking for partners who can help them to prosper by mitigating the risks they face in these areas. We are very much looking forward to Alexandra building on our existing strengths in Europe to foster a greater understanding of how our GFR offering can help.”
