New Zealand permanent residents and citizens with at least two years experience in the re/insurance industry now have the chance to embark on an educational journey for developing their skills and knowledge of the global reinsurance market.
Aon Benfield and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has opened the applications for the 13th Aon Benfield Scholarship, which recognises outstanding professionals who have the potential to become leaders in the local re/insurance industry.
For a chance to win the scholarship, applicants are required to write a 2,500 word essay on the topic: “Lifetime Insurance ̶ A revolution or a step too far?” All full entries will also be awarded six ANZIIF Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) points for 2017.
This year's winner will set off to London to attend the 52nd annual Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar, which will be held from June 26 to July 06 this year. There, the winner will be able to learn about the principles and practices of arranging reinsurance on a a global scale.

“We are very excited to once again open up the scholarship program to the industry’s up and coming talent,” said Robert De Souza, President APAC/CEO Australia and New Zealand Aon Benfield and chair of the judging panel.
“Aon Benfield’s annual gathering for global clients in London is regarded as an outstanding educational opportunity for insurance and reinsurance professionals. It’s a forum to discuss issues that matter most to the industry, get up to speed with trends, and gain valuable insights and best practices from leaders across the globe,” said De Souza.
