Gallagher Bassett has announced the appointment of Andrea Nelson as its national operations manager – personal injury.
Nelson brings more than 24 years of industry experience, including 15 years of accredited employer program (AEP) experience to the role.
In her new role, Nelson will be responsible for the performance and development of all personal injury claims teams ensuring consistent, efficient and timely delivery of service. She will also help ensure compliance with industry regulations, policies and guidelines and developing and maintaining relationships with management, work teams and customers as necessary.
GB New Zealand general manager Peter Neilson said he is confident in Nelson’s ability to excel in the role.
“She has the full support of the greater GB team and has proven her leadership capabilities during her time here at GB,” Neilson said.
Nelson commenced in the position in September and is based in Christchurch, regularly travelling to GB sites around New Zealand.
In line with this, Neilson has moved into the general manager role. He now leads the New Zealand based life, health, disability and personal injury teams.
He commenced as general manager in August and will continue to be based in Auckland.
