In a statement, Mutual Fire Insurance (MFI) noted that it has worked with a local broker partner to help those affected by the wildfires that have erupted across BC.
The insurer, together with Integris Insurance, supported relief efforts in the cities of Prince George, Quesnel, and the Village of Clinton. MFI partnered with Integris to take advantage of the latter’s strong connections with leaders and charitable organizations within the area.

Both companies helped the communities by:
- Delivering food, propane, and gas cards to firefighters.
- Purchasing toys, games, and books for young children.
- Buying essentials for pets like food, medication, and a refrigerator for medicine storage. Fridge donated to SPCA.
- Purchasing board games for youth aged 12-18.
- Purchasing water, batteries, and gas cards for the Pet Safe Coalition.
MFI underlined that the resources provided by the evacuation centers to wildfire-displaced individuals were the bare minimum needed to survive. Thus, the insurer strove to provide items such as pet supplies, toys, books, and games that are not necessarily offered by the likes of the Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
On top of offering relief goods and supplies, MFI and Integris also made donations. MFI gave $10,000 to help with efforts to care for evacuees in the north, while Integris contributed $5,000 to help in the purchase of sheet sets and pillows, for displaced individuals who have to sleep in cots in evacuation centers.
