A broker is promoting a suite of insurance services for seniors either looking to visit relatives in Canada or already currently living in the country.
Maxxlife Financial is collaborating with major insurance providers to offer products and services to pensioners through its Super Visa Insurance program.
Visiting parents and grandparents are required by law to secure insurance first before obtaining a visa, with medical coverage worth $100,000 or more for at least a year.

Through the program, Maxxlife will provide applicants with whatever they need to access medical services during their stay and will refund premiums in full in the event that a visa is refused.
The broker also offers a life insurance service. Maxxlife’s policies are tax-free and will pay out to beneficiaries that the applicant has specified.
For seniors already living in Canada, Maxxlife is offering the Snowbird Travel Insurance plan. The plan provides pensioners with travel insurance as they leave the country for warmer climates over the winter season. Services that may be covered by this plan include emergency medical care coverage and coverage for medical follow-ups back in Canada. The broker has mentioned that trip interruption and cancellation plans are also available.
Last September, Maxxlife expanded the number of insurance carriers it partnered with for the program. The insurance groups currently working with the broker include
Allianz, Blue Cross, Industrial Alliance,
Manulife, RBC, and Travelshield, among others.
