It was the first event of its kind when the curtain lifted last November - and now the Insurance Business Awards is ready to do it all again, as nominations open for the 2017 edition.
Last year 20 awards were dished out at an event that attracted 650 attendees to the Liberty Grand in the exhibition district of downtown Toronto.
Even the nominees who didn’t win in the inaugural IB Awards had positive sentiments to share about a special evening.
“It was very professionally run and extremely slick. Felt like a VIP occasion,” Katherine Baker, April Canada’s Director of Strategy and Marketing said. “We had a great night. It was disappointing not to win… but we had a lot of fun.”
This year the same number of awards are on offer to celebrate the most successful and upstanding members of Canada’s diverse insurance industry.
Nominations are open until September 20 before a panel of expert judges whittle down the contenders to determine the victors. A full explanation of the methodology is available on the
IB Awards site.
Everyone from advisors to brokerages to providers to MGAs have categories all of their own.
