As part of its 125-year anniversary celebration, an insurer is holding a cash giveaway contest in Vancouver.
From Feb 08- 11, iA Financial Group’s “anniversary charity squad” will patrol the streets of Vancouver and hand out $125 in cash to 250 lucky individuals. Members of the squad will be at public places around the city and on the lookout for people who perform a spontaneous good deed.

Such deeds include opening a door for someone, helping someone carry their bags, brush snow off a vehicle of another, and so on.
“The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to do good deeds and work together in their daily lives, to brighten their day for a few moments, and thank them for 125 successful years,” iA Financial Group president and CEO Yvon Charest said in a statement.

“With this initiative, we respect the fundamental philanthropic values of our company.”
After visiting Quebec City and Vancouver, the squad will then continue its nationwide tour in Toronto, from Feb 13 to 16. The tour’s next stop is Montreal, where it will stay from Feb 20 to 23. A total of 1,000 cash rewards of $125 will be handed out.
