If you were one of the hundreds of Insurance Business Canada readers who nominated your colleagues for the upcoming Insurance Business Awards brought to you by Markel, the big moment has arrived: the finalists of the 2017 Insurance Business Awards are finally here.
Winners will be selected by a panel of industry experts and announced on November 30, 2017, during a stellar black-tie ceremony at Liberty Grand Toronto hosted by “TV’s funniest woman” Jessi Cruickshank.
Among the 21 industry awards to be handed out are The ARAG Canada Award for MGA of the Year (finalists for which include Burns & Wilcox Canada, APRIL Canada, ENCON Group, Special Risk Insurance Managers), The Markel Award for Big Brokerage of the Year (contested by big names like Willis Towers Watson, Arthur J. Gallagher Canada, BFL Canada and Marsh Canada) and the Insurance Industry Employer of Choice (with possible winners such as Economical Insurance, Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company and Wynward Insurance Group).
“The finalists are the best of the best,” said Jessica Duce, project director of the Insurance Business Awards. “They demonstrate the resilience, innovation and sheer management smarts it takes to build a thriving business today. Success stories like theirs are the lifeblood of the Insurance industry.”
