The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (
RMIA) has announced a new CEO.
Scott Ryrie will take on the top job, effective August 07, replacing
Anthony Ventura who has been acting CEO for three months alongside his roles as RMIA president and chairman.

Ryrie joins with experience at some of the biggest firms in insurance having held roles through broking and underwriting to senior executive and CEO.
During his career Ryrie has held roles at XL Re,
Allianz Re,
Guy Carpenter Asia Pacific and A.M. Best Asia Pacific and has worked in both Australia and Singapore.
“We are confident Scott will maintain and develop our keen focus on the needs of RMIA members and the development of the risk management profession,” Ventura said of the move.
Early this year, RMIA announced a pair of partnerships with
QBE and
Dynamiq as the body looks to continue its growth.
