A specialist insurer has built on its own expertise in the faith sector, in which it insures buildings of architectural and historical significance, by expanding its offering to include commercial properties.
Ansvar has launched a new Commercial Property Owner’s product, designed for organisations with commercial assets of up to $20 million at any one location. The policy covers accidental damage for the buildings and contents of common parts, as well as for other exposures faced by a commercial property owner.
“We have taken a proven product range from our parent company, Ecclesiastical, and tailored this for the Australian market,” said
Warren Hutcheon, CEO Ansvar Insurance. “We believe this product complements our existing product offerings and look forward to working with our customers in this new sector.”
The new offering includes alternate bases of settlement for buildings of architectural or historical interest; and has the following features streamlined into three sections:
Property and income
- Property protection including glass breakage
- Loss of income
- Full accidental damage
- Breakdown of mechanical and electronic equipment
- Money and theft
General Liability
- Legal expenses for occupational health and safety breaches
- Trauma counselling costs
Tax Audit
- Professional fees incurred in connection with any tax audit
