Allianz Australia has announced two key management changes in its broker division.
Michelle Hay will take the role of general manager for consumer, SME, and platform solutions in January, while Alison Brough’s appointment as national manager for strategy and key partnerships will take effect immediately.
Both will report to David Hosking, chief general manager for broker and agency.
Twenty-year insurance veteran Hay joins Allianz from Konekt, where she was chief operating officer and company director. As new GM, the company states she will provide dedicated leadership of Allianz’s personal lines and SME portfolios, and help build its broker platform strategy. Hay has also worked at large national and international firms, including
Zurich,
Suncorp, and
JLT.
Brough joined Allianz this May from
Vero, and has since then worked to retain and grow the insurer’s broker business. In her new role, she will drive Allianz’s strategic response to a changing intermediary market by identifying and fostering key partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.
“Broker and agency continues to play a critical role in driving growth for the wider Allianz Group,” Hosking said. “Both Michelle and Alison are fantastic additions to the broker and agency leadership team and will be key in driving our customer focus and growth agenda.”
