Gallagher has announced an exclusive three-year tie-up with Football Federation Australia (FFA).
AJG was appointed as insurance broker to FFA in 2012 and will continue to work in this capacity following the new deal. The agreement will also see AJG branding appear at FFA controlled games and venues and on the FFA Cup website.
The move reinforces AJG’s commitment to the sporting world as the broker looks to become a sports leader in Australia.
With football one of the quickest growing sorts in the country, Sarah Lyons, chief execuitve (Australia), said that the link between the two organisations is a strategy fit for the broker.
“Many Gallagher employees and their families have a strong connection with sport which makes it highly relatable on a number of levels,” Lyons said.
“But we are also looking to create value for those who do not actively follow football through the natural connections between sport and our strategy, and will look to create learning and development opportunities for our people through this association.”
Steve White, head of marketing and communications at AJG, said that the partnership offers a connection that may not be obvious on first sight.
“Insurance and football may not be a natural combination for some people until you fully understand what insurance brings to sport, providing specialist advice to protect players, clubs and spectators, and supporting the future growth of Australian sport,” White said.
“Being aligned with some of Australia’s most iconic brands and working in partnership with FFA will bring a range of benefits to the business, our clients and the communities we serve.”
