The Australian Financial Risk Management (AFRM) and
Gallagher Bassett (GB) have teamed up to launch a new service to provide personalised support to life insurance policyholders who lack adequate claims advice and advocacy.
The AFRM Claims Advocacy (ACA) service will combine a new application being developed by ACA and the Melbourne University Creative Innovation Engineering and personal and individualised claims-management service to help clients achieve better financial and health outcomes.
Rob Vitnell, founding director of ACA, said the claims-advocacy service was designed to deliver a transparent and customer-centric approach to insurance.
“ACA aims to give policyholders the best support and advice in their time of need, which we believe will enable them to achieve better financial and wealth outcomes,” he said.
John McNamara, GB's managing director for Australia, said the new service is valuable to clients who are experiencing financial and emotional stress.
“We get involved with the claim early to improve the customer experience and ensure that only valid claims go to the insurer,” he said.
Vitnell said the ACA service is critical to the life insurance industry.
“This technology will complement the great work that our claims team does every day, providing increased clarity and efficiency, and allowing policyholders to keep track of progress whenever and wherever,” he said.
