Solution Underwriting has announced three new hires for its growing business, with a recently named
Insurance Business Young Gun joining the firm.
Bridget Baker will move to the business next month as an underwriter in the professional indemnity, general liability and management liability area of the business.
Baker, who will be based in Melbourne, joins from
Sportscover where she was named a Young Gun earlier this month having been promoted three times in the past five years.

“She has got a great profile, attitude and is very positive and fits in perfectly with our philosophy of looking after our brokers and giving great service with excellent technical skills as well,”
Rhys Mills, Solution Underwriting managing director, told
Insurance Business about the hire.
The firm has also announced that Heidy Riky has joined the Melbourne office as part of the financial lines team. Riky has more than 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having held roles in both broking and underwriting.
“It bolsters the professional lines side of the business to keep on serving our brokers on that side of things, to make sure we keep up our quick turnaround quotes and renewals that we have become known for,” Mills continued.
Emilie Hyde has also joined the Sydney office of the firm in an administrative role.
With a “very competitive” core market in the financial lines space, Mills noted that the firm has seen good growth due to broker support, as the recently launched corporate travel cover has been well-received by the broker market.
The business will look to bolster its product lines over the coming months, Mills confirmed.
“As always, watch this space because we are working on some new products at the moment that will be out before the end of the calendar year,” Mills said.
