Prudential Singapore has launched a partnership program targeting fintech startups, to work with the insurer to develop digital solutions to better serve its policyholders.

The PRU Fintegrate Partnership program will work to improve the customer experience using innovative technologies developed in tandem with startups. According to a statement by Prudential, the insurer will select startups with “a solid track record” and work with these firms to create “innovative financial solutions, simple interfaces and seamless experiences”.

The results of the collaborative efforts will benefit the entire value chain, helping inform customers better, simplify the insurance and claims processes, and equip Prudential’s agents with digital tools to perform their duties in a more efficient manner.

The program, which is part of the Singapore Fintech Festival to be held in November, will give startups the chance to enter a commercial engagement with Prudential, providing them with a global reach and substantive resources.

“Digital innovation is a key component in our overall strategy for the region as we recognise the fast-changing needs and preferences of our customers, including the technology-savvy millennial generation which is expected to represent 60%of the global population by 2020,” said Nic Nicandrou, CEO of Prudential Corporation Asia.
