MetLife has announced the appointment of Sanjeev Kapur as senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Asia. He will report to Esther Lee,
MetLife executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, and
Chris Townsend, president of
MetLife Asia.
Kapur will be in charge of accelerating MetLife’s brand transformation throughout the Asian region, under the new platform “MetLife. Navigating life together.” He is tasked with strengthening the insurer’s digital, data, and design capabilities to provide personalised and engaging service to MetLife’s customers in the region, focusing on mobile.
With a career spanning almost 20 years, Kapur has handled various management roles including sales, online distribution, marketing, product management, and innovation in both fast-moving consumer goods and financial services industries.
Prior to joining MetLife, he was with Citi for 12 years, most recently as regional head of marketing, where he led marketing efforts across 17 markets in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“Sanjeev’s significant experience and proven track record of driving strong business results will be a great asset as Asia continues to grow and drive value for MetLife,” commented Townsend on the appointment. “We are pleased to have him on board and confident that he will create competitive advantage for the company.”
