Mutual marine insurer West of England has appointed Damian Mustard as P&I (protection and indemnity) underwriter.
Mustard – who has more than 17 years of underwriting experience – was with The Navigators Group, Thomas Miller’s UK P&I Club, and ITIC.
In his new role at West of England, Mustard will be primarily responsible for the association’s fixed premium facility portfolio, as well as supporting the existing underwriting team in Europe, Russia, and South America.
West of England provides P&I, FD&D (Freight, Demurrage, and Defence), and specialised marine liability insurance for shipowners, charterers, and operators. With offices in London, Hong Kong, Greece, Singapore, and Luxembourg, it mutually insures over 3,000 ships.
